12.5 yard and 25 yard targets are provided
No pistols over .45 cal.  No shotguns.  No rifles above .22 magnum.
Open to the public every Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm, except holidays.
Open to members Monday thru Saturday 9am to 9pm, Sundays 9am to noon
Open to Ladies Only on the 1st Monday of each month - start time is 7pm
NOTE:  A Range Officer must be on duty for all shooting - please call 707-725-1505 to verify that a Range Officer will be at the range.
Single Membership is $45.00/year, Family membership is $65.00/year.
(half price after July 1 for new members).

On Hwy 299, 12.5 miles east of Highway 101. Look for the sign on North side of road.
Shooting distances from 25 to 600 yards.
Non- members ARE allowed to participate in sponsored events (those listed on the calendar)
We will be open to the public--that is nonmembers--for the sight in period of Sept 8th to Sept 19th, 2003. After Sept 20th, 2003 the range will only be open to Simpson club members and their guests (in the company of members). New insurance policy requires this restriction of "No Public" shooters after the date of Sept 19th.

Active in all aspects of blackpowder shooting including; "Cowboy Action Shooting", blackpowder shooting competitions, historical re-enactment, cannon shooting, etc.

Info on Carrying Concealed Weapons (CCW) Permits:
(The info below applies to requalification held by the Fortuna Pistol Club, only.)
Qualifications:
To qualify for a permit to carry a concealed weapon, the Sheriff's Dept. requires;
                                                                -NRA Personal Protection Class (NPPC)-
The NPPC taught by the instructors of the Fortuna Pistol Club is a 12 hour and is by pre-registration only. Fee is $65.00. Call Rick Jennings at 725-1505 for more info on when the next class is available.
CCW Requalification:
CCW re-qualifications are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6 to 10 pm at the Fortuna Pistol Club. Fee is $35.00. This involves a State mandated four hour class. All those re-qualifying must shoot each gun listed on your permit (max. of 3) a minimum of 50 rounds. You must demonstrate the loading of one magazine during the firing of each semi-auto. Serial numbers of handguns will be checked to assure they are the ones listed on your permit. Call Rick or Carrie Jennings  at 725-1505 if you have any questions.
