Membership and Meeting Info:
Located in  Rohner Park , Fortuna behind the rodeo grandstands.
12.5 yard and 25 yard targets
No pistols over .45 cal. No shotguns. No rifles above .22 cal.
Open to the public every Wedneday evening from 7 to 9pm, except holidays.
Open to members Monday thru Saturday 9am to 9pm, Sundays 9am to noon
Shooting fees for members: $2.00  Non-members: $5.00, Fortuna Police Officers: Free
Memberships are available at the Fortuna Pistol Club Range , or by contacting Rick or Carrie Jennings. Single Membership is $35.00. Family membership is $50.00. Membership is always due on March 1 (half price after September for new members). Club meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Rohner Recreation Hall, classroom side, starting at 6:30 pm. Contact Rick or Carrie Jennings for further information.
FORTUNA PISTOL RANGE RULES
1. Range Officers must notify the Fortuna Police Dept. before and after you shoot.
2. You must be a current (paid) member.
3. You pay the range fees ($2 for members and $5 for non-member/guests; Fortuna Police Officers free with ID [have them sign in as such] at the range when you sign attendance sheet.
4. An Adult MUST accompany anyone under the age of 18. The person shooting is required to pay range fees.
5. Youths 16 years old and under shoot free with a responsible, paying adult.
6. Range Officers, After entering the Grandstand gate, leave the gate open.  When leaving, leave the gate as you found it. If the gate was locked, re-lock by leaving one lock in the gatepost ring and the other padlock as a link in the chain so that NO ONE is locked out.
7. Put up the RED flag to indicate the range is in use. Take it down when leaving.
8. ALL firearms MUST be kept pointed down range at all times.
9. NO firearm is to be handled, displayed or exhibited behind the white line. Guns should be removed from holsters, cases or other carrying devices at the shooting bench and left there during the stay at the range.
10. ALL firearms on the line are to be made "SAFE" - CYLINDERS EMPTY AND OPEN, MA GAZINES OUT AND SLIDES LOCKED OPEN - BEFORE any person is to leave the bench or go downrange.
11. NO ONE IS TO GO IN FRONT OF THE RED LINE WHILE ANYONE IS DOWNRANGE!
12. Range Officers, Re-bar firing stations and lock all cabinets, front door, and gate. Re-lock grandstand gate (refer to #6).
13. Before leaving, clean up your brass and/or other items.
14. Range Officers need to notify Fortuna Police Department when done shooting.
15. Pistols: .45 cal and under ONLY. Rifles: .17 thur .22 cal. ONLY. NO SHOTGUNS!
16. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED AT ANYTIME AT THE RANGE!

Info on Carrying Concealed Weapons (CCW) Permits:
(The info below applies to requalification held by the Fortuna Pistol Club, only.)
Qualifications:

                                                             -NRA Personal Protection Class (NPPC)-
The NPPC taught by the instructors of the Fortuna Pistol Club is a 12 hour class divided into three evenings and is by pre-registration only. Fee is $60.00 with $30.00 being a non-refundable deposit. Call Helen Farley at 442-5573 for more info on when the next class is available.
CCW Requalification:
CCW re-qualifications are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6 to 10 pm at the Fortuna Pistol Club. Fee is $30.00. This involves a State mandated four hour class. All those re-qualifying must shoot each gun listed on your permit (max. of 3) a minimum of 25 rounds. You must demonstrate the loading of one magazine during the firing of each semi-auto. Serial numbers of handguns will be checked to assure they are the ones listed on your permit. Call Helen Farley at 442-5573 if you have any questions.
